The Indian Health Kiosk is a co-creation venture, in which several people in Finland & India have different kinds of roles. Below are short introductions of three people currently working on this project in Finland.
Amrita
Amrita is a doctoral researcher at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. Her current research focuses on developing the social media framework for low-cost healthcare using business intelligence and technology adaptation for non-urban areas of developing economies. She has been an active member in the development and implementation of a scalable healthcare system called ‘health kiosks’ in West Bengal.
Christian Aspegren – M.Sc. Econ, PhD Candidate
Christian is a global industrialist, growth resourcer, and entrepreneur with passion, since the 1970s, for motors of innovation.
Merie Joseph – M. Sci (Econ/IT), PhD Candidate
Merie Joseph was born in Kerala, a state in the southern part of India. She is currently pursuing her PhD, examining the growth process of social enteprises through strategic partners. When growing up in Kerala, she had seen the role of small schemes supporting entrepreneurship in the reduction of poverty. She has been involved with the Health Kiosk venture since February 2010, guiding student live cases as well as finding partners for Health Kiosk in Finland.
